Abstract

En este trabajo se analizan los vínculos que existen entre los modelos económicos y las modalidades de capitalismo vigentes en Centroamérica desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX hasta el presente; se identifican los actores y los factores que históricamente han incidido en la configuración de los tipos de capitalismo en la región y se presentan recomendaciones para la formulación de modelos económicos transformadores, eficientes, incluyentes y sostenibles.
