Integración regional y facilitación de la logística en América del Sur

Abstract

El presente documento analiza en primer lugar la importancia de la facilitación de los procesos, no tan solo comerciales, sino también logísticos y de transporte interior. La siguiente sección detalla los avances realizados en esta temática, tanto en la Comunidad Andina como en el MERCOSUR. Si bien ambos procesos difieren en la forma en cómo se estructuran y aplican las decisiones al interior de cada iniciativa, cada uno tienen sus ventajas y desafíos sobre el proceso de integración y la gobernanza misma del bloque, elementos que pueden ser de utilidad para otras iniciativas, subnacionales o binacionales que buscan armonizar y facilitar sus procesos aduaneros, de integración en frontera y en la facilitación de los procesos logísticos que utiliza el comercio interregional.
