Línea de base para los municipios La Lima y El Progreso de Honduras

Abstract

En el marco de la preparación para la evaluación de daños, pérdidas y costos adicionales en caso de desastres es importante contar una línea de base que pueda actualizarse en el tiempo y que permita hacer una medición detallada del capital expuesto que podría resultar dañado, así como caracterizar a la población que habita en el área y desagregarla en niveles territoriales pequeños, como los municipios, para poder determinar sus vulnerabilidades. Líneas de base como las estimadas aquí podrían ser una herramienta para la planificación y para priorizar inversiones públicas. En este documento se presenta el ejercicio conjunto que llevaron a cabo la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) y la Secretaría de Recursos Naturales y Ambiente (SERNA) de Honduras a fin de elaborar un modelo de exposición para el municipio La Lima, en el departamento Cortés, y para el municipio El Progreso, en el departamento Yoro, sobre la base de la metodología de evaluación de daños y pérdidas de la CEPAL.
