Programmes de transferts monétaires conditionnels en Amérique latine et les Caraïbes

Abstract

Dans l’Amérique latine et dans les Caraïbes un grand nombre de programmes sociaux ont été mis en oeuvre afin de réduire la pauvreté et combler les écarts tout au long du cycle de vie, y compris les programmes de transferts monétaires conditionnels (TMC). L’une des principales contributions des TMC a été de réorienter la protection sociale vers les enfants et leur développement. En outre, ils ont permis l’intégration de groupes de la société qui étaient traditionnellement exclus de la protection sociale, tels que les populations rurales ou les peuples autochtones. Ce document résume l’expérience des TMC dans la région et fournit des informations détaillées sur leurs différents aspects. Il vise à servir de base de travail, de discussion et de progrès en direction vers des systèmes de protection sociale inclusifs.
