Abstract

El objetivo del presente documento es hacer una revisión de las prácticas vigentes y de los criterios utilizados para integrar aspectos ambientales y sociales en el proceso de desarrollo de infraestructura en ciudades escogidas de América Latina, específicamente en Chile, Colombia y México, con el objeto de identificar y evaluar las fortalezas y debilidades de las acciones emprendidas. Del mismo modo, con este documento se busca promover la aplicación de ecoeficiencia como criterio clave para el desarrollo de infraestructura sostenible y como una base para ampliar las oportunidades de financiamiento. Se promueve también la inclusión social como un requerimiento clave para el desarrollo ecoeficiente de la infraestructura.
