Abstract

El presente documento profundiza y amplía los planteos que la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL) plasmara en "La hora de la igualdad: brechas por cerrar, caminos por abrir", propuesta que sometió a consideración de los gobiernos en su trigésimo tercer período de sesiones celebrado en 2010, y donde se colocaron los cimientos de una visión del desarrollo de cara a la segunda década del siglo XXI. Dicha visión planteó la igualdad, en sentido amplio, como principio normativo y como horizonte estratégico del desarrollo y, a la luz del mismo, los desafíos en materia de dinámicas y políticas de desarrollo que deberían concurrir para acercarse a ese horizonte.
