Abstract

Dans ce numéro de Regards économiques, les auteurs expliquent les difficultés inhérentes à l’objectivation de la pénibilité des métiers au travers d’une méthode directe d’évaluation des conditions de travail. Ils proposent alors une méthode indirecte qui s’appuie sur le risque accru de mortalité ou de morbidité. Deux indices sont calculés : le premier se base sur l’espérance de vie, le second se base sur la «santé auto-évaluée». Cette méthode indirecte contribue à identifier en partie les métiers pénibles sans préjuger de la façon de les compenser qui demeure une question relativement complexe.
