La mobilité internationale des étudiants : causes et déterminants

Abstract

Cet article fait le point sur le phénomène de la mobilité internationale des étudiants. Il met l’accent sur les déterminants de cette mobilité et des choix de localisation posés par les étudiants internationaux. Il discute d’une part plus en détails certains choix spécifiques au pays qui dépendent notamment de la politique migratoire, tels que les facilités offertes aux étudiants diplômés pour rester dans le pays. D’autre part, il débat du rôle de facteurs propres à l’université tels que la qualité et le niveau des droits d’inscription. Nous discutons également des implications pour le système d’enseignement universitaire belge et en particulier francophone.
