Le Bien-être à l’épreuve de l’inflation

Abstract

La hausse de l’inflation n’est pas répartie également dans la société. Alors que certaines personnes sont confrontées à de fortes augmentations des prix, d’autres sont moins affectées en raison de leur situation personnelle : nous ne consommons pas tous les mêmes choses, ni dans les mêmes proportions. Cette Note adapte un article (Prati 2022) qui évalue le coût des inégalités d’exposition à l’inflation en termes de bien-être subjectif en France. Même en situation d’inflation moyenne faible, ces inégalités d’expositions ont des conséquences sur le bien-être, qui se trouvent aujourd’hui très largement amplifiées.
