Caracterización del comportamiento de la demanda de componentes sanguíneos en un hemocentro del Valle del Cauca

Abstract

En este artículo se muestran los resultados del comportamiento de la demanda de componentes sanguíneos de personas en el banco de sangre de un centro hospitalario del Valle del Cauca; el cual permitirá, en un estudio posterior servir de base para la planeación y control de toda la cadena de suministro de sangre en toda la región del Valle del Cauca. Dentro de esta primera fase se tiene en cuenta la caracterización del comportamiento de la demanda de los glóbulos rojos, la cual será estimada a través de la recolección de datos de demanda en una entidad prestadora de servicios de salud y a través de pruebas de bondad de ajuste se identificó que la demanda no se adapta a ningún tipo de distribución de probabilidad, por lo que se acudió a la simulación discreta a través de distribuciones empíricas para elaborar los pronósticos más adecuados para cada tipo de grupo sanguíneo; concluyendo que el hemocentro debería realizar pedidos cada dos semanas de la siguiente manera: para el tipo de sangre A-: 2 unidades, A+: 43 unidades, AB-: 1 sola unidad, AB+: 2 unidades, para B-: 1 unidad, B+: 8 unidades, O- :4 unidades y finalmente para O+: 45 unidades de sangre.
