Covid-19: ¿Pandemia racializada o problema estructural? Percepciones desde la experiencia en Colombia y la región

Abstract

La forma en que Colombia y los países de la región han enfrentado los efectos y transformaciones derivados de la pandemia por Covid-19, ponen en evidencia la desigualdad en las sociedades latinoamericanas y las múltiples afectaciones sobre la vida social y económica. Si bien el virus no discrimina en cuanto a los contagios, un factor diferencial como la vulnerabilidad socio-económica de las poblaciones negras producto de las dinámicas de exclusión y de dominación permiten cuestionar el carácter racializado de la pandemia. Este artículo expone como las circunstancias en que los individuos y las comunidades enfrentan la crisis no son para nada iguales ni equitativas, en el marco de las ideas y los postulados de algunas posturas del pensamiento económico.
