Análisis coyuntural: Censos y población en Colombia. Panel Social de Fedesarrollo. Cobertura en salud de los menores de edad en Colombia

Abstract

Se analiza el censo de población en Colombia, el Panel Social de Fedesarrollo y la cobertura en salud de los menores de edad en Colombia. El 2005 está proyectado como año censal en Colombia. Los censos constituyen la principal fuente de información en el área demográfica y son críticos en la construcción de indicadores sociales y económicos. Ambos tipos de información son decisivos en la planeación pública y privada, así como en el diseño de mapas político-democráticos que definen la representación política regional. A nivel municipal son la única fuente confiable de información social relevante, entre otras razones, para el diseño presupuestal.
