Análisis del desarrollo económico en América Latina y sus determinantes

Abstract

Resumen La problemática del subdesarrollo consiste en ese conjunto complejo e interrelacionado de fenómenos que traducen y expresan desigualdades flagelantes de riqueza y pobreza, estancamiento, retraso frente a otros países, potencialidades productivas desaprovechadas, dependencia económica, cultural, política y tecnológica. Este documento analiza el proceso de desarrollo económico que ha atravesado América Latina desde la implementación del modelo de industrialización por sustitución de importaciones, hasta la apertura económica, a partir de los aportes de la industrialización, la globalización y la integración regional, siendo estos tres factores los mayores determinantes de dicho proceso. El problema principal del desarrollo de América Latina, como una estructura subdesarrollada, es la necesidad de superar su estado de dependencia, transformar su estructura para tener mayor crecimiento, diversificación de las exportaciones no limitándose a materias primas, fortalecer el avance industrial y reorientar el sistema económico que satisfaga las necesidades de la sociedad
