La Erradicación De La Pobreza Extrema Y El Hambre, Análisis Teórico

Abstract

Resumen Han transcurrido nueve anos después de la Cumbre del Milenio, en donde los jefes de Estado de 189 países se comprometieron con ocho objetivos básicos (Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio – ODM) en pro de entregar al mundo nuevas propuestas sociales, económicas, ambientales y políticas. Después de su firma, han demandado grandes esfuerzos en inversión social, políticas públicas y apoyo multilateral. Con esta investigación se pretende analizar y contextualizar los dinamismos que ha tenido la erradicación de la pobreza extrema y el hambre, objetivo número uno del milenio, en el marco de un mundo que se enfrenta a una crisis alimentaria y a la reducción de los índices fijados por el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo, donde se suponen altas tasas de crecimiento de las economías. Los avances generados por las Naciones Unidas, CEPAL, FAO y Acción Social de la Presidencia de la República, propenden por cumplir con los ODM con diferentes estrategias, pero hacia un solo frente: cumplir a cabalidad con las metas y marcar una pauta para continuar con el desarrollo y crecimiento del bienestar de las personas y las naciones en su conjunto.
