Entre la conveniencia y la convergencia económica: una discusión a propósito de la región pacífico colombiana

Abstract

Este documento presenta un aporte al estudio de la recientemente creada Región Pacífico compuestapor Cauca, Chocó, Narino y Valle del Cauca. En una primera parte se resenan indicadores decoyuntura y luego es evaluada la dinámica de crecimiento de estos departamentos a la luz de lateoría de la convergencia económica. La principal conclusión de este texto es la inexistencia derelaciones de largo plazo entre dichas economías, no obstante la interdependencia de algunas acorto plazo.
