Las cuentas ambientales como parte de las cuentas nacionales

Abstract

La creación de una cuenta de un sistema ambiental nace de la imperiosa necesidad de entender y cuantificar las relaciones que hay entre las economías convencionales y el ambiente, con el propósito de disenar indicadores que reflejen el impacto de las actividades económicas en los recursos naturales. En este orden de ideas, este artículo presenta una descripción detallada de una estructura clara que sustenta la estructuración del sistema de cuentas nacionales hasta alcanzar la construcción de un Sistema de Cuentas Ambientales.
