Abstract

Este artículo pretende propiciar la reflexión sobre las políticas públicas en educación y el desarrollo en la región Caribe colombiana, como aporte académico para la formulación, implementación y contribución al mejoramiento de la calidad de la educación y el desarrollo de la sociedad desde la perspectiva de las instituciones y sus agencias. Este documento brinda al lector la posibilidad de reflexionar sobre el contexto, antecedentes, conceptualización y enfoque de políticas públicas en educación como factor de desarrollo y bienestar social. Se reflexiona acerca de las situaciones asociadas a la eficacia, eficiencia, equidad con miras a avanzar hacia una educación de calidad. Finalmente, se presentan algunos procedimientos orientadores de la construcción de política pública desde la perspectiva de la educación como factor de desarrollo y bienestar de la social.
