Abstract

Este artículo identifica el papel de las economías de aglomeración en el desarrollo de las ciudades, ofreciendo una revisión de la literatura de los tipos de economías de aglomeración y sus fuentes, y cómo las economías pueden afectar tanto el crecimiento económico y el crecimiento urbano en las ciudades. Del mismo modo, se pretende documentar cómo las economías de aglomeración pueden influir en el nivel de especialización y la diversificación de las ciudades.
