Costo-efectividad de realizar plasmaferesis previa a timectomia abierta en el tratamiento de la Miastenia Gravis

Abstract

Se evalúa mediante un modelo de Markov la costo-efectividad de la plasmaféresis previa a la timectomía en el tratamiento de la miastenia gravis comparada con la timectomía sola. La perspectiva fue la del pagador, incluyendo todos los costos directos. Los datos de efectividad y riesgo de complicaciones se extrajeron de la literatura. Se realizaron análisis de sensibilidad determinísticos y probabilísticos. El umbral fue el PIB per cápita por AVG y se aplicó un descuento de 3%. La timectomía sola resultó costo-efectiva pero los resultados no son robustos. La adición de la plasmaféresis es costo-efectiva cuando el umbral es superior a $23.276.045 (más de dos veces el PIB per cápita); cuando no se aplica descuento; y en el 42% de las simulaciones.
