El rompecabezas de la investigación económica en el Caribe colombiano: Balance de la última década

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio es clasificar y analizar -cuantitativa y cualitativamente- la producción académica regional sobre economía realizada por las universidades, los centros de investigación y demás instituciones en la Costa Caribe colombiana durante los últimos 10 anos (entre enero de 1996 y abril de 2005), con el fin de establecer un mapa de la investigación económica regional y realizar una primera aproximación al estado y las principales tendencias de las publicaciones en esta parte del país. Las preguntas que se plantean en este escrito son: ¿Cuál es el mapa conceptual y geográfico del estado de la investigación económica en el Caribe colombiano?, ¿cuáles son los vacíos, las debilidades, las fortalezas y las limitaciones de la investigación sobre esta área de la región?, ¿cuál es el grado de articulación de esta producción con los espacios institucionales, de divulgación y los procesos de desarrollo regional?, ¿cuáles son las áreas de investigación que harían más amplio y novedoso el quehacer de la investigación económica en la región?
