Rendimiento De La Educación En Las Regionales Colombianas, Un Análisis Usando La Descomposición Oaxaca-Blinder

Abstract

Teniendo como referente la teoría del capital humano se examinan las diferencias regionales, como indicador de las variaciones en los ingresos de los individuos pertenecientes a ellas. Se utilizaron para este fin estimaciones por Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios y la descomposición de Oaxaca-Blinder, corrigiendo el sesgo de selección por el método propuesto por Heckman, usando los datos de la Encuesta Continua de Hogares en el segundo trimestre del 2006 para las trece áreas metropolitanas colombianas. Con Bogotá como región de referencia, se encontró evidencia de cambios en los rendimientos de la educación atribuibles a condiciones regionales, descomponiendo qué proporción corresponde a las dotaciones de Capital Humano y cuál a la condición de pertenencia a la respectiva región.
