Las jornadas escolares complementarias de las Cajas de Compensación Familiar: Instrumento para la Prevención y Erradicación del Trabajo Infantil

Abstract

El trabajo infantil es una de las problemáticas más críticas y profundas que aquejan hoy día a Colombia, afectando la vida, la salud, la moralidad y la educación de casi dos millones de ninas, ninos y adolescentes. Es por ello que en uno de sus apartados el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo 2010-2014: Prosperidad para Todos, transforma el programa de jornadas escolares complementarias de las Cajas de Compensación Familiar, poniéndolo al servicio de la erradicación plena del trabajo infantil. Este documento resalta la enorme importancia de este instrumento, y analiza su articulación con la política contra la problemática, además de describir su estructura normativa, financiera y territorial. La destinación de una infraestructura robusta en más de cuatrocientos municipios, además de medio millón de cupos al alcance de las autoridades, es una iniciativa que puede cambiar la fisonomía de Colombia e incidir en un drama que hasta el momento no ha tenido una solución definitiva.
