Evolución de la industria en Colombia

Abstract

En el estudio se hace un diagnóstico del sector industrial con el fin de contribuir acerca del debate de la desindustrialización en los últimos anos y sus efectos sobre el sector. Como se puede apreciar la industria ha perdido participación en el PIB, sin embargo este es un fenómeno que se ha dado a nivel mundial, y su productividad ha ido aumentado a lo largo de los anos. Ahora bien, la desaceleración industrial más que ser explicada por este proceso de desindustrialización, tiene sus raíces en la coyuntura internacional (desaceleración mundial, cierre del mercado venezolano, la revaluación de la tasa de cambio) y los costos de la energía, aunque a pesar de esto las expectativas de los empresarios siguen siendo positivas. Con base en este diagnóstico entonces se realizan diferentes recomendaciones de política industrial para el mediano y largo plazo, las cuales fueron resumidas en el Plan de Impulso a la Productividad y el Empleo.
