Un Modelo estructural para evaluar cómo las Instituciones afectan el Mercado laboral

Abstract

Se construye un modelo DSGE donde el mercado laboral funciona a la Mortensen & Pissarides (1994) para evaluar cómo las instituciones afectan al mercado laboral. El modelo tiene cuatro características. Primero, el efecto de las instituciones del mercado laboral se introduce por medio de un seguro de desempleo a los trabajadores en caso de ser despedidos, y con una penalidad por despido a las firmas que se paga una sola vez. Segundo, el gobierno determina un nivel de ingreso míınimo tanto para los trabajadores empleados, como para los desempleados. Tercero, los trabajadores difieren según su edad, su habilidad y su ingreso en el período anterior. Y cuarto, las firma pueden decidir si operan en el sector formal regulado por el gobierno, o en el informal. Se sugiere utilizar Schmitt-Grohé & Uribe (2004) para realizar cálculos de bienestar, y estimar los parámetros del modelo por GMM.
