Pronósticos de la Producción industrial. Índice de producción real

Abstract

La importancia del sector industrial dentro de la producción nacional, así como la dinámica que éste genera sobre otros sectores hace que el estudio de su evolución sea muy importante en la toma de decisiones de los agentes y el gobierno; ya que la industria se considera como un indicador consistente del desempeno económico. Parte importante de estos estudios debe encaminarse hacia el planteamiento de modelos de pronóstico como herramienta de análisis sectorial, con el fin de contar con elementos concretos sobre el desempeno económico futuro. En este documento se presenta un enfoque de series de tiempo sobre la producción industrial colombiana a partir de la información de la Muestra Mensual Manufacturera.
