Abstract

El presente documento, elaborado dentro del marco del Observatorio Económico del Valle, brinda una visión general del desempeño del comercio exterior en el departamento. Se presenta un análisis sobre el desempeño y evolución de las ventas externas por sectores económicos. Igualmente se presenta el cálculo de los términos de intercambio a nivel departamental y el efecto que el comercio exterior tiene sobre el crecimiento. Dicho análisis cobre importancia a la luz de las transformaciones que el sector productivo y exportador del Valle ha afrontado durante la década de los noventa a su vez que ofrece un panorama de los campos en los cuales debe trabajar la región ante la creciente ola de procesos de integración regional y global en debate actualmente.
