Abstract

En este artículo exploratorio se intenta describir la trayectoria del gasto del gobiernonacional a lo largo de las últimas ocho décadas. La exposición aborda los siguientestemas: la relación de largo plazo entre crecimiento económico y gasto público; laspolíticas presupuestales ejecutadas en distintos contextos macroeconómicos a través deltiempo; y, los marcos institucionales cambiantes que orientaron la ejecución delpresupuesto.
