Abstract

Esta nota técnica apresenta algumas considerações sobre os impactos econômicos da pandemia do COVID-19 sobre as regiões brasileiras. As análises partem de avaliações sobre diferentes escalas territoriais e ressaltam a importância do planejamento regional e urbano. São apresentados dados sobre a distribuição regional de empresas de diferentes tamanhos, relação entre rendimentos e emprego, distribuição de renda e população e localização de equipamentos urbanos para diferentes escalas. O propósito é partir da análise das microrregiões brasileiras, em um plano mais amplo e, posteriormente, tecer comentários sobre a situação da Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte.
