Les déterminants du commerce extérieur de la Chine

Abstract

La sensibilité du commerce extérieur de la Chine aux prix relatifs à court terme et à long terme a été confirmée pour la période 1978-1994 en utilisant la technique de cointégration et la représentation à correction d'erreur. Cette sensibilité a été plus forte pour les biens manufacturés. Les élasticités-revenus des importations ont crû plus fortement à court terme qu'à long terme en raison de la politique de substitution des importations. Le modèle d'allocation de devises qui utilise les recettes nettes de change et la réserve des devises comme variables explicatives a expliqué le volume du commerce extérieur de la Chine. Ces variables ne sont cependant convenables qu'à court terme lorsqu'elles ont été introduites dans la fonction traditionnelle. L'activité économique a influencé positivement l'offre des exportations.
