Abstract

Au cours de la dernière décennie, la Chine et le Vietnam ont mené des politiques de taux de change sensiblement différentes, justifiées par une situation monétaire radicalement différente, l'économie vietnamienne étant largement dollarisée. Cet article a pour intérêt de comparer ces politiques, en étudiant dans quelle mesure elles ont joué le rôle d'ancrage monétaire et la part qu'elles ont prise dans la compétitivité de ces deux économies dont les relations commerciales, officiellement faibles, sont en réalité importantes si l'on considère le commerce clandestin.
