Abstract

L'objectif de l'article est l'étude théorique du motif d'épargne de précaution dans l'hypothèse d'une substitution imparfaite de la richesse matérielle et de la richesse humaine. Celle-ci résulte dans le modèle, d'une part de l'imperfection du marché du crédit et d'autre part de la spécificité d'une partie des actifs humains. La transformation sur le marché du crédit de la richesse humaine en liquidité engendre des coûts de transaction, ou coûts de liquidité, qui incitent, dans certaines conditions, l'agent à accroître son épargne de précaution.
