Abstract

Este texto discute, muito rapidamente, por que razão as pequenas economias insulares são pressionadas a abrirem-se ao exterior e quais as condições pelas quais devem orientar o seu processo de desenvolvimento sustentável. Em particular, o texto discute qual deve ser a orientação externa da economia de S. Tomé e Príncipe para a sua internacionalização no contexto atual da economia mundial.
