O Nacionalismo Africano no Caminho para a Democracia: A Transição do Poder Colonial para o Partido Único nos PALOP

Abstract

Este texto efetua uma breve análise ao poder colonial português estabelecido na “África Portuguesa”. O surgimento e a disseminação da ideologia do Nacionalismo Africano pelo continente são também descritos, enquadrando a apropriação daqueles ideais pelas elites nativas. É ainda enunciada a forma como os valores culturais das elites foram harmonizados com as aspirações das massas, dinamizando movimentos de oposição ao poder “metropolitano”. Procurar-se-á ainda analisar a ideologia que conduziu à luta de libertação e às Independências face ao poder de Partido Único que lhe sucedeu.
