Abstract

El Banco Central de Bolivia, con el objetivo de diversificar las reservas internacionales, mejorar su calidad crediticia y plantear una visión de largo plazo, ha invertido parte de sus reservas monetarias internacionales en títulos indexados a la inflación (TIPS). El presente documento presenta una descripción y análisis del mercado de TIPS, sus principales características y funcionamiento de este mercado, así como de los factores más relevantes que influyen en su comportamiento. Se proporcionan los antecedentes y elementos necesarios para entender la administración de un portafolio de estas características.
