El Tipo de Cambio Real en Bolivia: una aplicación de la aproximación del balance macroeconómico

Abstract

La importancia del análisis del comportamiento del Tipo de Cambio Real (TCR) radica en el hecho que su dinámica influye en la asignación de los recursos entre los sectores transable y no transable, y en la definición de estrategias de inversión y endeudamiento externo. En ese sentido, de la amplia gama de metodologías de cálculo, el presente trabajo se concentró en la aproximación del balance macroeconómico. Para el caso particular de Bolivia, esta aproximación dio como resultado una leve subvaluación del TCR, quedando margen para una apreciación real que permitirá llevar el saldo de la cuenta corriente hasta su nivel de mediano y largo plazo.
