¿Por Qué Se Necesita Una Política Económica Regional En Colombia?

Abstract

Las desigualdades económicas entre las regiones de Colombia son muy grandes y se están acentuando. Esa situación se ha mantenido durante varias décadas. Diversos factores hacen pensar que por si solo el mercado no se encargará de eliminar esa situación, para que se de una convergencia en la prosperidad material de las diferentes partes del territorio nacional. Por tal motivo, se necesitan políticas públicas para reducir las desigualdades económicas en Colombia. En parte, esas políticas no existen debido a que las regiones más rezagadas, como las costa Pacífica y Caribe, no han tenido mucha ingerencia en la orientación de la política económica nacional.
