Algunos hechos estilizados sobre el comportamiento de los precios regulados en Colombia

Abstract

En este documento se establecen algunos hechos estilizados acerca del comportamiento de los precios regulados en Colombia. Se analiza el grado de rigidez de los precios en diferentes categorías de productos, con un énfasis particular en los precios regulados. En el documento se establece que los índices de los precios sujetos a algún tipo de regulación exhiben un grado importante de rigideces nominales, con cambios menos frecuentes en los precios que cuando se presentan son de gran tamaño y con asimetrías importantes en los aumentos y los descensos. También se investiga si la inclusión o exclusión de los precios de los servicios y los precios regulados afectan el grado de persistencia de la inflación total.
