Posibles consecuencias de la evolucion de las pensiones privadas en China

Abstract

China es ya una de las economias mas importantes del mundo, pero tiene muchas e importantes tareas que resolver, siendo una de ellas la implementacion de un exhaustivo programa social que debera abordar la disminucion de los recursos financieros de la tercera edad tras su retirada de la vida laboral. Tomando en cuenta los acelerados cambios en las tendencias de fertilidad y de longevidad, se preve que la ausencia de una red social bien desarrollada para las personas mayores podria socavar la sostenibilidad economica y social de la sociedad china. En este sentido, el principal objetivo de este documento es plantear un debate preliminar acerca de las perspectivas del sistema de pensiones de China, considerando el ineludible papel de las autoridades en este asunto, y la activa participacion potencial del sector privado. Este documento expone los antecedentes historicos de las pensiones chinas, explica los actuales planes de pensiones para entender las diferentes areas de desarrollo futuro, analiza el mercado potencial de planes de aportaciones y aspira a desarrollar un modelo que permita pronosticar los posibles resultados del sistema de seguridad social hasta 2020.
