Abstract

El cáncer es una de las Enfermedades No Transmisibles – ENT que provoca más muertes en el mundo antecedida por las enfermedades cardiovasculares. El documento analiza el cuidado y tratamiento del cáncer desde su organización, normatividad y caracterización en el país, incluyendo la financiación y modelos de pago que se desarrollan en torno a esta ENT. Con este contexto se generaron recomendaciones de política pública, para reducir los costos asociados y los indicadores de incidencia y mortalidad en Colombia.
