Croissance et intégration commerciale EuroMed : peut-on parler d‘un coût de la non-Méditerranée ?

Abstract

Ce papier revisite le débat sur l’intégration euro-méditerranéenne en reconsidérant son impact observé et attendu sur la croissance économique des pays du sud et de l’est de la Méditerranée.A partir d‘un travail empirique novateur mené en partenariat avec le CEPII, les auteurs mettent en évidence la supériorité de la logique d‘insertion de ces pays dans la globalisation sur celle de l’intégration régionale puis soulignent la faiblesse des impacts macroéconomiques et sectoriels d‘une ouverture commerciale. Enfin, dans une dernière partie, ils dégagent quelques enseignements et questionnent les politiques de croissance de ces pays.
