Anticiper les mutations sectorielles des économies ultramarines

Abstract

Le processus de rattrapage à l’oeuvre dans les territoires ultramarins depuis les années 1970 risque de s’arrêter, voire de s’inverser dans les prochaines décennies, dans un contexte environnemental difficile marqué par la fragilité des écosystèmes et par une prolifération des menaces liées au réchauffement climatique. Pour éclairer la soutenabilité des trajectoires de développement, il est nécessaire d’estimer le scénario tendanciel de la croissance économique et d’évolution du marché du travail. Les possibilités pour économies ultramarines de réorienter leur système productif doivent être évaluées, en prenant en compte les impacts socio-économiques et environnementaux de ces transformations ainsi que les budgets nécessaires à leur allouer.Ce Policy Brief est issu de la 7ème conférence AFD-CEROM (« Les Outre-mer en transitions.
