«Determinantes intergeneracionales de exclusión laboral y autopercepción de discriminación»

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio es explorar el vínculo entre las condiciones del hogar de origen y dos problemáticas que podrían asociarse a la exclusión social en términos amplios: la exclusión del mercado de trabajo y la discriminación. En términos generales, se encuentra que las condiciones socioeconómicas de origen, en particular el nivel de acceso a bienes durables, el tamaño del hogar y el orden de nacimiento del entrevistado inciden en la probabilidad de experimentar exclusión social. Además, se constatan otros determinantes relativos a la composición del hogar actual y al nivel educativo de la entrevistada que inciden fuertemente en la probabilidad de estar excluida del mercado laboral en tanto que las características físicas en particular el color de piel, las ascendencia indígena y el índice de masa corporal inciden en la probabilidad de percibirse discriminado, incluso cuando el tipo de discriminación aluda a discriminación por falta de dinero y no a discriminación racial o por apariencia.
