Klimaskepsis und Ausreden: Wie beurteilen die Deutschen den Klimawandel und die Notwendigkeit, etwas dagegen zu tun?

Abstract

Jeder Fünfte bezweifelt den wissenschaftlichen Konsens zum menschengemachten Klimawandel. Die große Mehrheit der Deutschen ist davon überzeugt, dass es den Klimawandel gibt und dass er menschengemacht ist, 22 Prozent der Befragten äußern jedoch klimaskeptische Einschätzungen. Gründe könnten Wissenschaftsskepsis und die weitverbreitete Fehleinschätzung sein, es gebe in Fragen des Klimawandels keinen wissenschaftlichen Konsens. Die meisten Argumente gegen zusätzlichen Klimaschutz finden bei einer großen Mehrheit der Deutschen keine Unterstützung.
