Abstract

Excerpt from the report: Shippers, carriers, and receivers have expressed a growing interest in the maintenance of proper temperatures for the protection of fresh and frozen food products in transit. One way to make sure that products are at desired temperatures is to check the products before loading them into the car or truck and again upon arrival at destination. This checking can be done by taking the product temperatures in sample packages (boxes, crates, cartons, etc.).
