Operações Em Redes De Suprimento Globais E Alta-Confiabilidade

Abstract

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as vulnerabilidades das redes de suprimento da carne bovina no Brasil, suas conseqüências imediatas, e as possíveis estratégias de redesenho da rede. As redes que conformam a cadeia de produção agroexportadora da carne bovina mostram alta performance, sendo responsáveis por tornar o Brasil o maior exportador do produto no mercado global. Os resultados deste estudo de caso indicam que a vulnerabilidade de apenas um nó da rede pode ser responsável pelo comprometimento da performance de toda a rede. Isto é reforçado pela configuração da rede estudada: uma rede rotinizada, com baixo grau de influência da empresa focal. A partir da noção de organização de alta-confiabilidade, um quadro de referência é desenvolvido e discutido, buscando assim ajudar os tomadores de decisão na formulação de estratégias de redesenho da rede.
