Abstract
A grande motivação para a produção do Biodiesel na região Nordeste, referenda os benefícios econômicos, sociais e ambientais que o novo combustível pode trazer para as famílias dos pequenos agricultores dos diversos projetos de assentamentos rurais nordestinos. A cultura da mamona se constitui um dos caminhos para o processo de desenvolvimento sustentado em diversas comunidades rurais do semi-árido pelo seu grande potencial de inclusão social, transformado em emprego e renda, proporcionado por um cultivo fortemente adaptado à região, com tratos culturais simples. Entre as alternativas de cultivo adaptadas ao semi-árido, a mamona vem se destacando como uma das mais viáveis, por se tratar de uma cultura com extraordinária capacidade de adaptação às condições edafoclimáticas da região, contribuindo para a fixação do homem ao campo, gerando emprego e renda.-----------------------The great motivation for the production of the Biodiesel in the Northeast region, ratifies the economical, social and environmental benefits that the new fuel can bring to the families of the small farmers of several projects of rural northeastern registrations. One of the ways constitutes the culture of the mamona for the process of development supported in several rural communities of the semi-arid one for his great potential of social inclusion, turned into job and income, provided by a cultivation strongly well-adjusted for the region, with cultural simple dealings. Between the alternatives of cultivation adapted to a semi-arid one, the mamona it comes if standing out like one of the most viable, because of treating a culture with extraordinary capacity of adaptation to the conditions edafoclimáticas the region, contributing to the fixation of the man to the field, producing job and income.
