Abstract

The growth of the world’s organic food market in the last ten years had been raising the demand for studies related to this theme. Concerning the data collect, analysis and interpretation, it was used the laddering qualitative technique, that is based on the means end chain theory. The results show, emphatically, the wish of the consumers with the individual well being and with its maintenance over the time, through life quality and a healthy life, classified as individual values according to the Schwartz scale. Finally it presents the dominant perceptions of these consumers from the enchainment between the attributes, consequences and values obtained in the research.
