Análise Das Mudanças Recentes Nas Despesas Com Alimentos

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar as mudanças na despesa alimentar das famílias brasileiras no período compreendido entre os anos de 1996 e 2003. Relacionou-se o consumo familiar ao preço e à despesa anual para os seguintes alimentos: aves e ovos, bebidas, carne bovina, carne suína, cereais em grãos, farinhas e derivados, frutas, lácteos, legumes e verduras. Na pesquisa, foram utilizados os microdados da Pesquisa de Orçamentos Familiares (POF) disponibilizados pelo IBGE, para os períodos selecionados. Em termos da distribuição de renda, observou-se pequeno ganho após a implantação do Plano Real: a população brasileira economicamente ativa que recebia até cinco salários mínimos mensais aumentou entre os anos de análise, porém para as mais altas faixas de renda ocorreu uma diminuição do número de pessoas, com efeito concentrador. Quanto ao consumo, notou-se que, como conseqüência do preço relativo dos produtos selecionado ter aumentado comparativamente a outros fatores, a quantidade consumida de vários produtos, em diferentes regiões, diminuiu e, para as famílias pertencentes aos estratos de renda menores, o peso da aquisição de alimentos na renda total familiar manteve-se proporcionalmente maior. Além disso, a despesa anual para aquisição dos alimentos estudados aumentou significativamente para as famílias, de forma agregada e segmentada por regiões. -------------------------------------------------The objective of this study is to analyze the changes in the standard and profile of alimentary consumption of the Brazilian families in period 1996 the 2003. The familiar consumption to the price and the annual expenditure for following foods became related: chicken and eggs, drinks, bovine meat, meat porck, cereals in grains, flours and derivatives, fruits, milky, and vegetables. In the research, the microdata of the Research of Orçamentos Familiares (POF) disponibilizadas by the IBGE had been used, for the selected period. As first result, small profit in the income distribution was observed after the implantation of the Real Plan: economically active the Brazilian population that received up to five monthly minimum wages increased enters the years of analysis, however for the highest bands of income a reduction of the number of people occurred, with concentrative effect. How much to the consumption, it was noticed that, as consequence of the relative price of the products selected to have increased comparativily to the other factors, the consumed amount of some products, in different regions, diminished and that, for the pertaining families to lesser stratus of income, the weight of the acquisition of foods in the familiar total income was remained proportionally bigger. Moreover, the annual expenditure for acquisition of studied foods increased significantly for the families in such a way when grouped by Brazilian regions how much for income classrooms.
