Abstract
As conclusões apontam para alternativas à solução dos entraves produtivos do Pólo, necessária ao desenvolvimento dessa região.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------This work studies the use of agricultural credit in the irrigated fruit production of Petrolina- Juazeiro Pole. From the use of research data collected with the Pole producers and through the use of econometrical methodology, it is defined the main variable associated with the insolvency and are estimated the logistic regression that explains the phenomenon in the Pole. The results achieved suggest that the insolvency in the Pole is influenced positively by factors as bigger carry of the producer (except small settled of land reform), carry out other activities and do not carry out agricultural practices projected. However, aspects related to the biggest age of the producer, to be associated, have good relationship with organs of research and of technical aid, apply the profits in the activity, have experience of credit with other financial institutions, be beginner in the obtaining of financing and have adequate credit, help to reduce the insolvency. The conclusions aim for alternatives to the solution of the productive obstacles of the Pole, necessary to the development of that region.
