Abstract

L’objectif poursuivi par cette revue était de faire l’état des lieux des connaissances disponibles sur les structures et le fonctionnement du secteur semencier au Mali afin d’identifier les faiblesses pouvant faire l’objet de recherche ultérieure et de mesures de politique à mettre en œuvre. Pour ce faire, la méthodologie adoptée repose sur 4 piliers : i. Une analyse de la littérature existante et des données secondaires disponibles ; ii. Une reconnaissance rapide (RRA) sur les systèmes de distribution des semences à Bamako et dans les régions ; iii. Une évaluation du taux d’adoption des nouvelles variétés de maïs et de sorgho dans 58 villages dans les localités de Koutiala, Diola et Kati ; et iv. Un atelier de restitution avec les principaux acteurs du secteur semencier.
